Career InTouch celebrated its 3rd Annual IMI BBQ, bringing mentees, mentors, and staff together for a day of fun, connection, and friendly competition. The celebration featured basketball activities, Beauty in Bloom, and creative activities like T-shirt and patch making. It was a memorable day of building relationships, creating experiences, and celebrating the IMI community.
Career InTouch celebrated our middle school mentees as they reached an important milestone and moved up to high school at Bailey Middle School and Miller Middle School. We are incredibly proud of their growth, hard work, and accomplishments, and we look forward to seeing all they achieve in the next chapter.
Career InTouch was proud to attend the My Brother’s Keeper Symposium, where our mentees Paulie and Barry were selected as Fellows in the New York State My Brother’s Keeper Program. This achievement is a reflection of their leadership, dedication, and continued growth, and we are excited to see where this opportunity takes them.
As part of The Academy, mentors and staff participated in a Networking and Public Speaking Workshop focused on building confidence and strengthening communication skills. The workshop provided an opportunity to practice professional networking, public speaking, and effective communication.
Mentors and staff participated in a Professional Headshot and LinkedIn Workshop focused on building a strong professional presence. Staff received professional headshots and learned how to strengthen their LinkedIn profiles to better represent their skills, experience, and career goals.
Mentors and staff participated in a budgeting workshop focused on building practical financial skills. Participants explored budgeting strategies, financial planning, and ways to make informed decisions about managing their money.
