Who We are
Our work is rooted in trusted relationships, near-peer mentorship, personal development, skill-building, student voice, and access to meaningful opportunities. We believe young people are most likely to thrive when they are seen, supported, prepared, and connected to people who believe in what they can become.
Our Mission
Career InTouch creates pathways to educational and economic opportunity by equipping young people with trusted mentorship, personal and professional skills, resources, and experiences that help them grow, succeed, and ultimately lead the next generation.
Our Vision
We envision a future where every young person is InTouch—with who they are, their purpose, the opportunities available to them, and their ability and responsibility to help the next person succeed.
Inform. Motivate. Inspire.
Inform young people about themselves, their options, resources, and opportunities.
Motivate young people to believe growth is possible and take action toward their goals.
Inspire young people to recognize what they are capable of and eventually become an example for someone else.
These words remain at the heart of Career InTouch.
Our Core Values
Relationships Before Program
Trust is where change begins.
We remember that the work starts with the young person sitting in front of us. Programs matter, but relationships make them meaningful.
Youth at the Center
We listen before we lead.
Young people's voices, experiences, goals, and needs guide the decisions we make and the opportunities we create.
Representation Creates Access
Young people should be able to see possibilities up close.
We prioritize relatable, culturally responsive mentors and leaders who can build authentic relationships and help young people see pathways that may once have felt inaccessible.
Show Up and Own It
Consistency builds trust. Accountability protects it.
We communicate honestly, keep our commitments, take responsibility for our actions, and understand that how we show up matters.
Progress requires the courage to begin.
We believe growth is possible for our students, mentors, staff, and organization. We encourage effort, reflection, learning, and the willingness to try again.
Growth Starts With Trying
Lead Forward
Our growth should create opportunity for someone else.
Success at Career InTouch is bigger than individual achievement. We use what we learn, accomplish, and overcome to help make the path easier for those coming behind us.
Our Youth Development Framework
Our 6 Core Qualities describe what we help young people develop:
Intrapersonal Skills | Professionalism | Networking | Motivation | Resourcefulness | Preparedness
Together, they support Career InTouch's larger pathway:
Become InTouch
Be supported
Build Skills
Access Opportunity
Succeed
Lead Forward
This progression mirrors the full-circle model being built across IMI, High School Bridge, peer mentorship, and the emerging Mentor Academy.
